Cumin seed oil is obtained by the steam distillation of seeds of Cuminum Cyminum. The oil is a free-flowing liquid that is a pale yellow to dark brownish-yellow. It has a sweet cyminic top note with a fatty, cuminic, spicy base note. It posses a rich, spicy and earthy aroma and is used in flavoring and perfumery.
